BAHAMAS
WHY WE GO

Local partners have shared their vision for their communities with us and your team will play a significant role in helping them to accomplish their goals as they recover from Hurricane Dorian.  Emotional and construction needs are great and you can help in a so many different ways.  Construction, medical, assisting teachers, assisting families and individuals left homeless.  Make an impact by taking the time to help others on the ground where they live.

WHAT WE DO

We have established partners in Nassau, Freeport, Grand Bahama, Marsh Harbour and Eleuthera that coordinate and provide disaster relief, supplies and compassionate relief services.  By partnering with residents and communities, your group can play an integral role here.

Skilled and unskilled construction workers are of course needed badly, but so are compassionate people that want to simply organize game and craft days and with the local children so they can have an afternoon of fun.  We work with your group to establish skill sets, then reach out to our local staff to see how we can best implement a strategy that maximizes your groups time and effort.

WHAT WE DO FOR FOOD AND FUN

With the exception of departure and arrival hours, three meals will be provided each day by a local Bahamian cook.  Traditional homemade meals are prepared daily with a few American styles dishes too.  Bahamian cuisine is diverse and delicious.  You'll find fish, rice, pigeon peas, potatoes, roast pork, plantains and tropical fruits served daily.  Purified drinking water is provided at all times at all locations we serve at.  Typically a full day and one afternoon and evening is reserved for fun and exploration.  What you do depends on your destination island but almost always includes a beach day and shopping!

LOGISTICS & COSTS

Depending on the size of your group, one or more locally based staff representatives will be with your group, 24 hours a day, for the entire duration of your trip.  Pricing includes all meals, ground transportation on the island, purified drinking water, group t-shirt, materials, and relief supplies necessary for your trip.

Safety is our top priority.  We only serve and visit areas identified as being safe and secure.

Bahamas serving trips include the option of floor sleeping at a local school, community center or church at NO CHARGE.  Not included in the trip price is airfare.  Approximately $150 per participant is dedicated towards relief supplies, and is included in your trip cost.
